Havasu Falls Turquoise Canyon Oasis
Havasu Falls plunges into a deep blue-green pool, with Cataract Canyon behind lit by the morning sun, on Havasupai Indian Reservation in the Grand Canyon.

Hiking to see the waterfalls of Havasu was one of the toughest yet  most amazing experiences of my life.  The waterfalls are located deep in the Grand Canyon and are part of the Havasupi Tribal Lands.  Havasupi is  translated as “people of the blue-green water.”  The water is a beautiful turquoise, unlike anything I have ever seen.

The Magic is Real: Hop Aboard and Ride the Rails for Holiday Fun!

There is something magical about the Holidays when you are a grandparent. This year I am even more excited for them because I am a brand new grandma!  My little grandson is just under a year old but already, I am dreaming of all the fun adventures we will have together. One of the first places I check for great ideas is on my favorite travel blog, travelswithbibi.com .  Shirley, is the kind of adventurous traveler I want to be and takes grand-parenting to the next level. She came up with a holiday train guide that I encourage all of my readers to review and share. It’s filled with fun trip ideas around the country that are holiday themed and sure to create memories to last a lifetime. I am so honored to have her as a guest writer on my blog.  I am already looking into booking a trip  on one of these Holiday trains!

Bibi’s Bio: Greetings! I’m Shirley, also known as Bibi, the name I was given by my African guides when I was climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro last summer. For me, life is one big adventure and I love my life that is split between Georgia and North Carolina, where I have the Great Smoky Mountains National Park practically in my backyard. I’m also a card-carrying member of the Modern Gypsy Travel Club.  Want to join? Come visit me at my travel and adventure blog by clicking here: Travels with Bibi.
