“Fashion is the armor to survive the reality of everyday life.” —Bill Cunningham
Have you ever met someone who just radiated cool, enchanting edginess? I have and I am so excited to introduce you to Angie Weihs, my favorite Ageless Rebel . Angie is one of the ultimate cool girls. I had been a fan of Angie”s and followed her on social media for awhile and was thrilled to actually meet her at the FierceCon 2018 conference I attended in LA last year. The minute I met her I knew she was someone who I wanted to spend more time with and get to know better.
Angie is an ageless fashion icon who lives by the motto “outfit journeys are stories of how to feel empowered through style and beauty” she strives to access what she calls “the “inner giggle”, the space where our uninhibited, curious, open child energy lives.” Angie makes fashion her armor, she makes fashion fun and her energy force.

What could be more appropriate for Valentines Day and Heart Health Awareness Month then a powerful RED dress? I say powerful because it makes a bold statement. We need to be bold when it comes to advocating for our heart health. With every beat our hearts take, those beats allow us to be with those we love. Continue reading “The Power of a RED Dress”
I finally jumped on the jumpsuit trend. When I was looking for an outfit for New Year’s Eve I knew I wanted something that was comfortable and I would be able to wear it again. This pretty black Jumpsuit by Elana Kattan was exactly what I was looking for. Continue reading “The Perfect Jumpsuit for Formal Occasions”
What is colorful, lightweight, fits everyone and is totally on trend right now? Kimono’s!
I am always a little hesitant to join into what is considered trendy but this is one trend that is perfect no matter what your age, style or size. Kimono’s come in so many different colors, fabrics and patterns that you can find one that suites you perfectly. The best part is you don’t need to spend a fortune, they are available at any price point. Continue reading “Kimonos, The Perfect Addition to All Wardrobes”
In Arizona, Summer seems to last forever. When the rest of the country is enjoying the beginning of fall and cooler tempetures, Phoenix is still dealing with another month of 100 degree days!
I am not a fan of summer clothes, I love sweaters, boots and dark colors. This creates a lot of wardrobe dilemma’s for me, I live in Arizona and wearing shorts, tee shirts and sundresses are the norm for hot weather survival for most people. I tend to only want to spend money on winter clothes but still need to dress for hot weather.
I have found that my go to uniform for going out during the hot months are a nice pair of dress jeans, a dressy white sleeveless top, statement jewelry and pretty high heels.
This is my go to uniform and the best part is this combo will take you from a dressy dinner to a backyard party. When the weather finally begins to cool down this look is perfect with a blazer or a colorful sweater.
This weekend, we will be going to an outdoor cocktail party and the we are looking at a low of 82 degrees! At least the drinks will keep me cool!

Flying on planes these days is like an episode of The Hunger Games. Only the strong survive! Figuring out how much to pack in the carry on, rushing through security, hoping the grumpy TSA agent doesn’t single you out for an encounter that usually requires a drink first, and the endless delays and missed connections are just part of the warm up activities.
The real competition begins when fighting for overhead space for the carry on you so thoughtfully packed. Once seated you are usually framed between people who are stressed, forgot to use deodorant or decided to bring their own homemade stinky fish sandwich. Don’t even get me started about the awkward dance for elbow space on the armrest!
As a matter of sanity, I finally got TSA pre-check approved and try to upgrade my seating as often as possible. The one thing I have perfected is being comfortable and wearing clothes that are made for the long haul.
My favorite travel tops this summer were the short sleeved Athleta Tee’s, I got one in every color. They were perfect for layering and easy to wash and wear.
Comfy pull on black pants (those tiny airplane bathrooms don’t allow for much room to bother with buttons and zippers) made of stretchy material that will not wrinkle are my go to pants. I love these by Tribal.
As for Shoes, I am sold on Vionics. I got a black pair and am going to go back and buy them in other colors. They are so comfortable and easy to get on and off. I walked through Europe in them and my feet never hurt!
A lightweight sweater is a must, I love soft cotton and this summer I used this pretty Pink one by Free People.
I personally loved my 3 piece luggage set by London Fog. It was on sale at Macy’s and very well made. I hate carrying a heavy purse so this super lightweight Cross body Bag was perfect for stuffing everything I needed into it and still having both my hands free.
